blooming flower necklace with goldstone pyramid
This unique design is made to resemble one of nature's beautiful blooms and signifies our need to enjoy every moment to its fullest. Featuring a flower-shaped pendant with a goldstone pyramid, nestled within a handmade brass bezel. The pyramid is surrounded by a recycled brass gear. Finished with a recycled .22 bullet casing, which was found on a walk in the woods. I decorated the casing with brass filigree and inserted a faceted Egyptian quartz point inside. Pendant measures approximately 4.25 inches long and is very lightweight. The 27-inch long brass chain is decorated with complementing beadwork in brass tones.
Often mistaken as a mineral, goldstone is actually a glittering manmade glass. In gem folklore, it was first produced accidentally. The legend has many variations. Some say a monk, or factory worker, randomly knocked copper shavings into molten glass, others say alchemists discovered it during their attempts to produce gold, and still others believe monks practicing alchemy created the secret recipe.
Goldstone is said to be a master healer, stabilizing emotions and aiding in staying calm. Used as an energy generator and a good deflector of unwanted energies, therefore is a protection stone. It helps one set goals that are often lofty and work to attain them. Goldstone also has many of the metaphysical properties of copper, including strengthening the circulatory system, strengthening bones and easing arthritic pain, which is felt to be extremely helpful in increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation.
